Farm Wars vs Hay Day

Hay Day and Farm Wars both have you growing crops and selling what you produce, and both let you team up with other players: Neighborhoods in Hay Day, companies in Farm Wars.

The big difference is the market. In Hay Day each player sets prices in their own roadside shop, and your farm keeps growing for years. In Farm Wars there is one market shared by everyone, prices move with every sale, and the whole game resets every Monday, so even a new player can win in their first week.

Choose Hay Day if you want a relaxed farm that grows at your own pace, lots of buildings and production chains, or you play on iPhone or iPad.
Choose Farm Wars if you want every decision to matter against real opponents, enjoy reading a market, and like a fresh, fair start every week.

Farm Wars vs FarmVille 3

FarmVille 3 is a colourful farming game built around animals: collecting, breeding and caring for them, and designing a good-looking farm. Like Farm Wars, it has groups of players (co-ops) working together.

Farm Wars keeps the graphics simple and puts the depth somewhere else: one live market where every player's sowing and selling moves prices, a week-long race to the highest equity, and companies competing for the top. Nothing carries over between weeks, so there is no catching up with players who started years ago.

Choose FarmVille 3 if you love animals and decorating, and want a game to relax with for a few minutes a day.
Choose Farm Wars if you would rather outthink people than decorate, and want a game with a clear winner every week.

Farm Wars vs Township

Township mixes farming with building a town: your crops feed factories and your town grows around them. Co-ops help each other fill orders and race together in the weekly Regatta.

Farm Wars has factories and teamwork too, but they all serve one goal: making more money than everyone else on a shared market before Sunday. There is no town to build; the challenge is timing, prices and strategy against real players.

Choose Township if you enjoy building and decorating a town and progressing steadily over months.
Choose Farm Wars if you would rather compete on a live market, invest in companies on the stock market and see a final ranking every week.

Farm Wars vs Stardew Valley

Stardew Valley is a much-loved farming and life sim: you restore a farm, make friends in town, explore the mines and play at your own pace, alone or in co-op with friends. It is a one-time purchase with no in-app purchases.

Farm Wars is a different kind of game. There is no story or exploration, and you play against other people instead of the game. Instead of a cosy routine, it is a week-long contest of trading, timing and team strategy on one shared market.

Choose Stardew Valley if you want a cosy, story-rich world to lose yourself in, on PC, console or mobile.
Choose Farm Wars if you want competition with real people, short weekly games and a market that never behaves the same way twice.

Who Farm Wars is not for

We would rather you play the right game, so to be honest, Farm Wars is probably not for you if:

  • you want detailed 3D graphics or lots of decorating. Our graphics are simple on purpose; the real game happens in the market.
  • you play on iPhone or iPad. Farm Wars is only on Android for now (Google Play and Huawei AppGallery).
  • you want a farm that keeps growing forever. Everything resets every Monday.
  • you prefer a calm game without opponents. In Farm Wars, other players can crash the price of your crop.

Questions

Is Farm Wars like Hay Day?

Partly. Both are farming games where you grow and sell crops and team up with other players. But Farm Wars is built around one live market shared by all players and a game that resets every week, while Hay Day is a relaxed farm that grows for as long as you play.

What is a good game like Hay Day but with more strategy?

If you like trading in Hay Day but want more strategy, try Farm Wars: every player trades on one shared market, prices react to what everyone does, and you compete for the top spot in a new game every week.

Is Farm Wars pay-to-win?

No. Farm Wars is free, and you don't need eggs (the in-game currency) to play or win. Everyone restarts with the same resources every Monday, so long-time or paying players can't build a permanent lead.

Is Farm Wars available on iPhone?

Not yet. Farm Wars is available on Android through Google Play and Huawei AppGallery.

Can I play Farm Wars with friends?

Yes. Start or join a company of up to 10 players, build a factory together, or challenge a friend to see who ends the week with the most equity.
